GOOGLE I/0 2018 | AUGMENTED IMAGES

NOVEL, 2018

GRAPHIC DESIGN | PRODUCTION

An augmented reality installation developed for Google I/O 2018 to demonstrate ARCore’s Augmented Images capability. The work translates image-based tracking into a spatial experience, showing how two-dimensional inputs can trigger and anchor three-dimensional content.

Titled Mixed Mediums, the installation consists of three artworks, each exploring a distinct interaction model and use case. As the viewer moves through the space, static images extend into volumetric environments, allowing content to shift based on position, orientation, and gaze. The work establishes a direct relationship between physical surfaces and digital space, expanding the image beyond the frame.
